Best Matchmakers in America — 2026 Directory
Rankings of professional matchmaking services based on publicly available data across select US markets.
How We Rank Matchmaking Services
Every service is ranked by its BM Score, applied identically across all cities. Contract structure, pricing transparency, consultation policy, and operating history are documented for every service.
Platform Review Score
Each service’s publicly available rating from a single review platform, whichever has the most reviews for that service. We do not combine scores across platforms.
Review Volume & Reliability
More reviews mean a more reliable score. Services with fewer than 100 public reviews are flagged as data-limited; higher volume earns a higher confidence weight.
Contract Flexibility
Short-term options (monthly or quarterly) score higher than multi-year retainers, because the financial risk to the consumer is meaningfully different.
Pricing Transparency
Whether the service publishes its pricing publicly versus requiring a consultation before disclosing any numbers. Transparent pricing scores higher.
Free Consultation
A no-cost initial conversation before any financial commitment. A baseline industry standard; its absence is noted.
Years in Business
Operating history and demonstrated continuity. Long history with poor reviews does not outrank short history with strong reviews.

What to Look for in a Matchmaker
Score and volume together, not one or the other.
A service with 100 public reviews and a 4.5 score is statistically more reliable than one with 10 reviews and a 5.0, even if the score looks better. Both the score and the review count matter. Neither alone tells the full story.
Short-term vs. long-term contracts.
Most premium matchmaking services require contracts of one to three years with fees ranging from $15,000 to $300,000 or more, typically paid up front. A small number of services offer short-term pricing.
Who approves the matches.
Some services present matches for your approval before any date is arranged. Others schedule introductions without your prior input.
The free consultation.
Any reputable service will speak with you before asking for money.
What happens if results don't come.
A minority of services offer formal guarantees. Understand what you're committing to before signing.
Data-driven. Transparent. Unpaid.
Best Matchmakers is a data-driven US directory that ranks professional matchmakers by city, scored on publicly available client reviews, pricing transparency, and contract flexibility. We cover six select markets: Denver, Austin, Scottsdale, Raleigh-Durham, Atlanta and Greenwich.
Matchmaking services do not pay to be listed. Rankings are not influenced by advertising relationships. No paid rankings. No sponsored placements.
Best Matchmakers does not accept payment for listings, rankings, reviews, or placement. Some outbound links may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if a reader contacts or purchases from a service through that link. Affiliate relationships do not affect whether a company is listed, how it is scored, or where it appears in our rankings. Our ranking criteria are applied consistently across every service reviewed. "Paid rankings" refers to services paying for ranking position or featured placement. Affiliate links are entirely separate and do not affect how services are ranked or listed.
